Solemates is a club aimed at everyone over the age of 18 who enjoys the countryside and socialising with like minded friends.
We offer regular walks, normally on Sundays between 6 to 10 miles, and in the spring/summer months evening walks too throughout the Norfolk area.
Some people think that Norfolk’s landscape is flat and dull. However, we think that you will find Norfolk to be very diverse with an enthralling combination of beaches, forests, crumbling cliffs, salt marshes and sand dunes.
Norfolk is quite simply a place to explore and put on your walking boots and tramp along the ancient paths and long distance trails through unspoilt countryside.
We also have some monthly social events so our members can get better acquainted. This could be something informal like a meal out, or a quiz night.
Membership is just £25.00 per year which entitles you to enjoy as many events as you please and you do not have to pay up front. Prospective members are welcome to come along for a free walk to decide whether they wish to join Solemates, or not. Membership runs for a full 12 months. Why not come along to a walk or a social event to see whether our club is for you before deciding to join. Walks are well attended (15 to 20 people) and with a mixture of ages. I hope that we can encourage more people out in the coming spring and summer months ahead to enjoy the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
